How This Calculator Works
The Bitcoin Future Value Calculator lets you explore the potential value of your Bitcoin holdings based on a hypothetical future price. For the basic scenario with no additional purchases, the modeled value is simply your current Bitcoin amount multiplied by the price you select:
Hypothetical future value = BTC holdings × selected future BTC price
If you use the optional additional-purchase fields, the tool also models planned purchases. Additional BTC is calculated by dividing your planned dollar amount by the hypothetical purchase price you enter, then added to any additional BTC holdings you specify. The modeled future value multiplies the total BTC by the selected future price.
Example: If you hold 0.1 BTC and choose a hypothetical BTC price of $150,000, the modeled value is $15,000 before fees and taxes. This is an example, not a forecast.
Methodology
This tool does not predict the future price of Bitcoin. It is designed to help you visualize "what if" scenarios. The gain or loss shown compares the hypothetical future value against your total purchase cost: your original holdings valued at your average entry price, plus the assumed cost of any additional purchases. The current Bitcoin price is used only to value those additional purchases unless you provide a separate purchase price. Network fees, exchange fees, and taxes are not included; the figures are gross estimates.
The change relative to your current market value is not shown as an investment return — it would simply reflect the difference between the price you select and today's price.
